Seven of the nine platforms in this guide publish at least one price. That makes it possible to do simple math before talking to sales, as long as you remember what list prices leave out. All figures below are monthly list prices on annual billing, as published on the date shown for each vendor (27 September or 11 October 2026), multiplied by the number of agents. They do not include taxes, discounts or implementation.
What do entry plans cost at different team sizes?
The table below is generated from the same price data as the ITSM cost calculator, using each platform's entry paid plan. In words: Freshservice Starter at $19 per agent is $475 a month for 25 agents; Jira Service Management Standard at $20 is $500; Zendesk Suite Team at $29 is $725; monday service Standard at $31 per seat is $775; ServiceDesk Plus Standard starts at $13 per technician, $325; SysAid Professional at $89 is $2,225. Halo (formerly HaloITSM)'s single plan is £69 per agent, £1,725 for 25 agents, in pounds because that is the UK list price we captured on 11 October 2026, plus a required onboarding package at a bespoke cost. ServiceNow ITSM and Ivanti do not publish prices.
| Platform | Entry paid plan | Unit price | 10 agents | 25 agents | 50 agents |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Freshservice | Starter | $19 per agent | $190 | $475 | $950 |
| Halo | Single plan | £69 per agent | £690 | £1,725 | £3,450 |

| Jira Service Management | Standard | $20 per agent | $200 | $500 | $1,000 |
| ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus | Standard | from $13 per technician | from $130 | from $325 | from $650 |
| monday service | Standard | $31 per seat | $310 | $775 | $1,550 |
| ServiceNow ITSM | Not published | Not published | Not published | Not published | Not published |
| SysAid | Professional | $89 per agent | $890 | $2,225 | $4,450 |
| Zendesk | Suite Team | $29 per agent | $290 | $725 | $1,450 |
Why is the entry price misleading?
Because entry plans differ in what they include. The cheapest plan that includes change management is often the one that sets your real cost:
- Freshservice: problem, change and release management start on Pro, $99 per agent, or $2,475 a month for 25 agents.
- Jira Service Management: change management is on Premium, $51.42 per agent, or $1,285.50 a month for 25 agents.
- SysAid: change and problem management are on Professional, so $2,225 a month for 25 agents covers them.
- Halo: change management is in the single plan, £1,725 a month for 25 agents, plus onboarding.
- ServiceNow ITSM: change and problem management are in the ITSM Advanced package, which is sold by custom quote.
- ServiceDesk Plus: change and release is an add-on at $1,195 a year on Standard, or included in Enterprise from $67 per technician, $1,675 a month for 25.
- Zendesk: change management is not listed on the Employee Service pricing page. monday service: no change module on its pricing page; a vendor blog describes building change approvals from configurable boards and automations.
How do units differ?
Not every vendor prices the same unit. Most price per agent, the people who work tickets. ServiceDesk Plus prices per technician, and monday service per seat, with a three-seat minimum. SysAid Enterprise starts at 20 agents. Read each vendor's definition before comparing totals, and note which users are free: requesters usually are, but portal caps can apply, as with monday service's 10 portal users on Standard. monday service plans start from 3 users and teams over 40 users are asked to request a quote.
What do add-ons add?
Some AI features are priced separately. Freshservice sells Freddy AI Copilot at $29 per agent a month, which for 25 agents adds $725 a month to any plan, and Zendesk lists a Copilot add-on at $50 per agent a month for Employee Service. ServiceDesk Plus add-ons are shown as annual figures on the page we read, so add them separately. Check whether AI usage has credits or caps: Jira Service Management includes 250 Rovo credits on Standard, and SysAid bundles 100K Workato credits on Professional and says its agentic AI has no usage caps.
What do list prices leave out?
Implementation, partner services, training and the internal time to configure the platform. For a team without an admin, that last item can outweigh the licence difference between two platforms. ServiceNow's most cited G2 cons include high licensing and implementation costs [G2]; its three packages are sold by custom quote [ServiceNow].
How should you use the numbers?
Pick the plan that covers the practices you will need within a year, not the cheapest one today, and multiply by the agent count you expect then. Run it in the ITSM cost calculator, which applies the same data and shows Not published where a vendor gives no price. Then ask each vendor for a quote at that size; list prices are a ceiling to negotiate from, not the final figure.
