This recap covers dated announcements from the vendors in this guide between January and September 2026, as published on their own sites and read on 27 September 2026. It is written on 11 October 2026 and does not cover later news. We found no dated monday service product announcement in that period on the pages we checked, so it does not appear here.
Which public sector certifications moved?
Three vendors made public sector announcements.
Halo (formerly HaloITSM) said on 13 August 2026 that its multi-tenant cloud platform achieved FedRAMP certification at the Moderate impact level under the FedRAMP 20x programme and is listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace.
Freshworks said on 6 August 2026 that Freshservice reached FedRAMP In Process status toward Moderate, with AWS GovCloud (US) as the planned infrastructure.
Atlassian said on 23 September 2026 that it brought its DoD Impact Level 5 submission forward to July 2028, with a FedRAMP High submission to follow in January 2029, naming Jira Service Management among the initial products. The same post gives 28 March 2029 as the Data Center end-of-life date.
These are vendor statements. For most mid-market buyers they matter indirectly, as a sign of security investment, unless you sell to government.
What changed in AI features?
The AI announcements split between tools that help admins build and tools that help agents resolve.
SysAid announced on 9 September 2026 an AI Automations Builder: admins describe an automation in their own words and SysAid sets the triggers, conditions and actions. SysAid calls it an ITSM industry first, which is its claim, not ours.
ManageEngine's ServiceDesk Plus Cloud release notes added, on 14 September 2026, Anthropic's Claude as a provider for Ask Zia and GenAI features, chart generation in Ask Zia and reusable workflow approvals. Its 24 July release added Resolution Assist, which drafts a resolution from similar resolved requests, and SLA violation alerts through third-party notification channels.
Ivanti said on 27 January 2026 that it was previewing persona-based agentic AI in Neurons for ITSM, aimed at incident resolution and service desk workload, with full availability expected later in the year.
Zendesk said on 2 June 2026 that its Support Assistant for Microsoft 365 reached AppSource, so employees can raise, track and escalate requests from Teams, Outlook and Word. On 15 June it said it acquired intellectual property from beams and hired its team, adding SaaS and AI tool visibility, governance and provisioning to Employee Service.
What changed under the hood?
Halo said on 21 August 2026 that it is moving its cloud platform to a containerised architecture on AWS EKS, with a beta from September 2026 and general availability for Stable channel customers in Q1 2027. Halo customers need to update firewall rules for new egress IP ranges.
ServiceNow ITSM completed its purchase of Armis, an asset visibility and cyber risk company, on 20 April 2026, for approximately $7.75 billion in cash, according to its newsroom. Asset visibility feeds configuration data, so CMDB buyers may watch how the two products connect.
Halo also announced a global partnership with UST on 23 June 2026, under which UST resells Halo and provides implementation and managed services in more than 30 countries.
Did analyst reports feature?
Freshworks and Atlassian each said they were named Leaders in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for IT Service Management Platforms, which both date to 27 July 2026. We report these as the vendors state them; analyst placements are not inputs to the fact grid or the finder. Halo's pricing page, read on 11 October 2026, says Halo is recognised as a Challenger in the same report.
What does this mean for a mid-market buyer?
Three practical points. If admin effort worries you, SysAid's builder and ServiceDesk Plus's reusable approvals are aimed at it. If you run Jira Service Management self-managed, the 2029 Data Center end-of-life date belongs in your planning. If you are a Halo customer, check the EKS move timeline and firewall changes with your network team.
